Mary Annie Hutchens Hauser

Yadkinville Mary Annie Hutchens Hauser went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Janie Hutchens. Mrs. Hauser was preceded in death by her husband, William Jamie "Jimmy" Hauser. Mary Annie lived to be 102 years old and spent her lifetime serving others and serving the Lord. She was a member of Pilot View Friends Meeting, where she taught Sunday school for over 75 years. Mary Annie enjoyed playing the piano for more than 90 years, only giving it up in recent months. She was the pianist for a local quartet in her younger days, and, also, for Pilot View Friends and Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She spent her last days singing hymns and praying. Mrs. Hauser is survived by her daughter, Judy Alice Hauser of Alexandria, VA and son Richard (Debbie) Hauser of Yadkinville. Her only grandchild, Tim (Candice) Hauser, was a joy to her heart. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 3:00PM at Pilot View Friends with Rev. Gene Moser and Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family of Mary Annie would like to thank the staff at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center for their loving care of their mother and grandmother.
