Jerry "Butch" Gregory

Yadkinville Mr. Jerry "Butch" Wayne Gregory, 61, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. Mr. Gregory was born April 4, 1952 in Wilkes County to Preston Lee and Hazel Jennings Gregory Childress. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Kipp. He is survived by three sons, Michael Wayne Gregory (Jennifer), Miles Preston Gregory (Jennifer), and Scotty Dale Gregory (Kelly); four grandchildren, Michael William Gregory, Andrew Devin Gregory, Waylen Gray Gregory, and Ashley Nichole Johnson; three brothers, Sherman Gregory, Sanford Gregory, and Pete (Mary) Gregory; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 6, 2013 at 2:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Bob Edwards and Rev. Steve Barber officiating. Burial will follow at Gregory Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Yadkin County EMS, 201 W Cherry St. Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to thank the Yadkin County EMS and the First Responders of Yadkinville Fire Department for the level of care and effort shown to Mr. Gregory.
