Hutchens East Bend - Dorothy Jean Hutchens, 85, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1927 in Yadkin County to the late Rufus Weldon Hutchens and Elsie Douglas Hutchens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joyce Martin Hutchens; children, Larry Hutchens, Tamara Montgomery; granddaughter, Mindy Hutchens; sister, Shirley Hutchens; brothers, Bill Hutchens, Junior Hutchens, Thomas Hutchens. Surviving are her children, Beckey Childress, Clark (Margie) Hutchens, Carolyn (Buddy) Parker; grandchildren, Melody Koslawy, Marty Childress, Randy Clark (Debbie) Hutchens, Michael (Scarlett) Hutchens, Joyce Helton, Brandon (Kelly) Parker, Maria (David) Van Zee, Jamie (Kevin) Sizemore, Daniel Montgomery; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Hamm; brother, Mac Hutchens; sister-in-law's Frankie Hutchens and Cora Hutchens; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger. Burial will follow at Forbush Friends Meeting. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
