Helen Sizemore Collins

Helen Sizemore Collins, 89, passed away Tuesday May 14, 2013 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. Mrs. Collins was born November 2, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late Rella & Lela Lazenby Sizemore. Mrs. Collins was a member of Boonville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Farris Everette Collins. Surviving are her son Charles (Janice) Collins; grandson Jeff (Sunni) Collins; great grandson Davis Charles Collins; a brother Bill (Betty) Sizemore, sister-in-law Ruth Collins, several nieces and nephews, and also several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 - 2 PM Thursday May 16, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday May 16, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Marion Swann, Rev. Roger Hensley, and Rev. Jenny Stewart. Burial will follow at Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Hugh Chatham Nursing Center and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice; also a very special nephew Donald and Jeannie Collins.
