Raleigh Henry Miller

BOONVILLE Mr. Raleigh Henry Miller, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born April 15, 1967 in Forsyth County to Raymond G. Miller and Carol B. Miller. Raleigh was full of life and a joy to be around. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Raleigh enjoyed watching parades, the Olympics and wearing the battery out of several TV remote controls. Raleigh also loved listening to his rock-n-roll. One of Raleigh's favorite things was being fed a vanilla milkshake by his "Beautiful Grandma". Raleigh was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Raleigh was preceded in death by his father, Raymond G. Miller. He is survived by his mother, Carol Jean Brown Miller; brothers, Reno Miller and wife, Tammy; Will Miller and wife, Wendy. He is also survived by his grandmother, Bonnie M. Brown and "the little guys" (nephews), Cody Miller, Jake Miller, Luke Miller, Wesley Miller and Brady Miller. Raleigh is survived by several special aunts and uncles as well as many exceptional cousins. Raleigh is also survived by lots of special friends and caregivers at ADVAP, New Horizons and Apple Valley who will always hold a special place in our hearts. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, North Carolina. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, May 31, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church on Nebo Road at 11:00 a.m. in Boonville, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 4309 Siloam Road, East Bend, North Carolina 27018 or New Horizons Adult Day Services, P.O. Box 1969, Yadkinville, North Carolina 27055. The family would like to express special thanks to all the staff in the North Tower, 7th floor CCU Unit 5 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the Emergency Department at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
