Sgt. Jason Grant Jester

Jester East Bend - Sgt. Jason Grant Jester, 37, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He was born December 27, 1975 in Forsyth County to Michael Regan Jester and Patricia Spencer Jester. Jason was an active member of the N.C. National Guard. He served three tours; the first was in 2003 with the Marines in Iraq. The second was with the Army National Guard in Iraq and the third tour was also with the N.C. National Guard in Kuwait and Afghanistan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Elaine Spencer and Grace Jester. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved girlfriend, Sara Wooten; grandfather, Garl Jester; aunts & uncles, Darlene and Jerry Lineberry, Carolyn and Donnie Branch; close friends, Mike and Peggy Davis and many other family members and friends. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Kenny Gooden. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Cemetery with full military honors by the N.C. National Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
