Hamptonville Mr. Benjamin "Benny" Arthur Coram, 68, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013. Mr. Coram was born June 28, 1944 in Yadkin County to John and Fanny Shore Coram. He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church where he taught the adult Sunday school class for 30 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Coram was preceded in death by his special uncle, Arphew Shore. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Oliver Coram; one son, Mark Coram; one granddaughter, Erika (Scott) Richardson; two great grandchildren, Elliot and Jace Richardson; one brother, Dalton (Pat) Coram; two sisters, Willodean Swaim and Joan (Rex) Oliver; a special aunt, Mary Shore; a nephew, Kevin Coram; and special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 11:00AM at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Blalock and Rev. Hubert Wishon officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Faith Promise Mission c/o Sweet Home Baptist Church, 7173 Somers Rd Union Grove, NC 28689. The family wishes to thank all the friends and loved ones for the love, care, and support shown to them during this difficult time.
