Rachel Ruth Matthews

Matthews Yadkinville - Rachel Ruth Matthews, 65, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 30, 1947 in Yadkin County to the late Charles Douglas Matthews and Hazel Wooten Matthews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Tommy Rochester, Billy Joe Matthews. Surviving are her son, Rodney Wayne (Mary) Rochester; grandchildren, Rodney Wayne Rochester II, Johnathon Mark Rochester, Steven Christopher Rochester; brother, James "Jimmy" Charles Matthews; special friend, Sandra Rochester; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Matthews family.
