Jamie Groce Hutchens

Hutchens Yadkinville - Jamie Louise Groce Hutchens, 83, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at Willowbrook Nursing Care Center. She was born October 22, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late Joe Richard Groce and Lillian Vestal Groce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bobby Ray Scarbrough, Jr. Surviving are her husband, Donald Harry Hutchens; children, Janice Brown, Debbie (Steve) Johnson, Rhonda (Robert) Woodard, Pamela Scarbrough; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Lucy Carter, Mattie Jean Brown; brother, Jim (Pat) Groce; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Bill Hale and the Rev. Dale Wallace. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
