Albert Ray Vestal

Jonesville Mr. Albert Ray Vestal, 95, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Mr. Vestal was born January 9, 1918 in Yadkin County to William and Wilmoth Collins Vestal. He was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vestal was preceded in death by his loving wife, Amelia Morrison Vestal; a son, Luther Vestal; two grandsons, Landon and Derrick Vestal; and ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by one son, Donald (Doris) Vestal; five grandchildren, Bryan Vestal, Lisa (Randy) Whitman, Tracy (Keith) Carrillo, Michael (Amy) Vestal, and Meredith Vestal; two great grandchildren, Braxton and Reese Vestal; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 1:00PM at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Russ Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glen Kiser Hospice Home, 1229 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, NC. The family wishes to thank the staff of Elkin Healthcare and the Glen Kiser Hospice Home for all the love, care, and support shown to Mr. Vestal during his illness.
