Gaither Howard Williard

Gaither Howard Williard, 90, of Yadkinville, was ushered into his eternal destination, Sunday, July 21st. He was born November 22, 1922 in Yadkin County, to Gurney F. Williard and Alice Matthews Williard. He was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church, and was faithful as long as his health permitted. Gaither was retired from Beaumont Transit lines, Beaumont, TX. He had also worked for Piedmont Coach Lines, Winston-Salem. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Paul Williard, and Fred Williard. Surviving are sons Walt (Jan) Williard, of Jacksonville, Fla., Johnny (Luane) Williard, of Mocksville; David (Debbie) Williard, Midway; Jamie (Jan) Williard, Yadkinville; daughters Jean W. (Ronnie) Collins, and Sue (Gary) Joyner, both of Yadkinville, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday July 24, 2013 at Peace Haven Baptist Church in Yadkinville. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM July 24, 2013 at Peace Haven Baptist Church by Pastor Jon Bowman and Associate Pastor George Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Willowbrook Rehab., and Dr. James McGrath for their love and care of Gaither.
