- Mr. Frankie King, 78, of Yadkinville passed away peacefully on August 7, 2013 at the Woltz Hospice House in Dobson, NC surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 24, 1935 in Yadkin County to the late Isom King and Vertie Groce King. Mr. King was a retired farmer and Brick Mason. He was also a faithful member of Northwood Baptist Church in Yadkinville. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Annie Mitchell King of the home; son, Christopher (Dawn) King of Yadkinville; brothers, Thomas King of Jonesville, Clyde King of Norfolk, VA, and Charles (Sue) King of Hamptonville; sister, Catherine Jones and husband, Jerry Tozlosky of Kernersville; special nieces Lou-Jean Stout of Hamptonville and Sylvia (Rusty) Chapman of Statesville; and special cousin Roger (Judy) Groce of Hamptonville; and several nieces and nephews who also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters-in-law, Mildred King and Eiko King. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday August 10, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be 2:30 POM Sunday August 11, 2013 at Northwood Baptist Church in Yadkinville with Dr. Allen Barker and Rev. Josh Boles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice House, 945 Zephyr road, Dobson, NC 27017 and to Yadkin Valley Home Health, 213 Winston Road, Jonesville, NC 28642.
