Lorene Davis Taylor

Mrs. Lorene Davis Taylor, 86, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at her residence. She was born October 19, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late James Lee and Lily Almana Petree Davis. She was a member of New Home United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn E. Taylor on May 16, 2013, three sisters Opal Shore, Lucille Denny, and Ruth Welch; three brothers Carl Davis, Ben Davis, and Guy Davis. Surviving are her children Glenda Taylor (Allen) Church, Kenneth W. (Linda) Taylor, Danny Lee Taylor, Donna Taylor (Jeff) Lambe; grandchildren Terry (Kyndal) Church, Kim (Bryan) Sheppard, and Dillon Lambe; great grandchildren Taylor Church, Cody Pollard, and Madisynn Church; a sister Dorothy Priddy. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Sunday, August 18, 2013 at New Home United Methodist Church. Her funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday August 18, 2013 at New Home United Methodist Church by Rev. Gary Mahathey, and Hospice Chaplain Greg Anderson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a special thanks to all the care givers and a very special thanks to Henrietta Mathis and Debbie Starling for the loving care given to Mrs. Taylor.
