Sammy "Sam" Lee Allred

Sammy Lee Allred "Sam" (8/17/43-8/15/13) passed away On 8/15/13 in New Hanover County, North Carolina, where his only daughter Amy Elizabeth Allred resides. He is survived by his daughter and two grandchildren Katherine Bullard and Jack Leonard; and survived by his mother Olav Myers Allred and brothers Larry Allred (Judy) and C. Lynn Allred (Laura) all residing in Yadkin County. He was preceded in death by his father Dewey Max Allred. Sam was born in Hamptonville, North Carolina in 1943 and is a graduate of West Yadkin High School and Appalachian State University with a Masters Degree in Business. He is a retired business and accounting instructor from Forsyth Technical Community College. He is a former member of the First Baptist Church in Yadkinville, North Carolina, where for many years he was able to sing in the choir. Burial arrangements will be handled by the Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held in Sam's honor at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Hamptonville, North Carolina at 2 pm on Saturday August 24, 2013 by Rev. Richard Eskew.
