Robert "Bob" Franklin Crook

Dobson Mr. Robert "Bob" Franklin Crook, 69, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Crook was born October 18, 1943 in Davie County to Bryce and Gertie Bracken Crook. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church. Mr. Crook enjoyed raising his draft horses and spending time with his grandson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crook was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Crook; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Crook. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Shelby Caudle Crook; a daughter, April Crook and special friend Greg Childress; a grandson, John Robert Sizemore; a brother, Jerry Crook; two sisters, Judy (Michael) Trivette and Betty (J.W.) Foreman; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00am at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Rev. Phillip Link officiating. Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of North Carolina, 401 Harrison Oaks Blvd. Suite 200 Cary, NC 27513. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Bayard Powell, the staff of the Elkin Clinic, and the staff of the 9th floor at WFBMC for all the love, care, and support shown to Mr. Crook during his illness.
