Bobby Gene Bailey

Yadkinville- Mr. Bobby Gene Bailey, age 67, passed away the morning of Tuesday, September 03, 2013, at the V.A. Medical Center in Salisbury. Mr. Bailey was born September 12, 1945 in Princeton, WV, to the late Dewey and Anna Hutchens Bailey. He was a loving father, grandfather, who was always known for his hospitality, and generosity to everyone. Mr. Bailey was of the Baptist Faith, had a deep love for music, football, and country living. He was a graduate of Princeton High School and Bluefield State College in West Virginia with degrees in both Accounting and Engineering. Mr. Bailey was one of several generations of military families. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving 6 years active duty in the Vietnam War on the Aircraft Carrier, U.S.S. Forestal. He moved to North Carolina in 1996 where he lived in Jonesville, NC and worked at C.M.I. Manufacturing in Elkin, NC until he retired in 2007, and most recently resided in Yadkinville, NC until his death. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:30 PM Saturday in the Gentry Family Chapel. Burial will follow in the Yadkinville Cemetery with Full Military Honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346.
