Kelly Saunders Hemric

Lynchburg Kelly LuAnn Saunders Hemric, of Lynchburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, September 04, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of Mark Eugene Hemric. Born July 7, 1961 in Winston Salem, NC, she was the daughter of Beverly Wayne Saunders and Louellen Hayes Saunders. Kelly was a dedicated home educator and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She earned her BS degree in Education from Wingate College in 1983 and earned her Med at East Carolina University in 1988. Kelly was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and sister. In addition to her husband and parents, Kelly is survived by four children, Brett Nathaniel Hemric (Jessie) of Durham, NC, Kenan Michael Hemris, Danae LeAnna Hemric, and Marlee Joy Hemric, all of Lynchburg; two sisters, Beverly Jo Grocholski (Larrie) of Winston Salem, NC and Dana Elizabeth Glenn (Chris) of Harrisburg, NC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Carolyn Hemric of Clemmons, NC; and several loving nieces and one, loving nephew. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA with the Rev. Louis Beckwith, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 12:30PM. Interment will take place at 2:00PM Sunday, September, 8, 2013 at God's Acre Moravian Graveyard in Winston Salem, NC with Rev. Dr. David Marcus officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dillon International Adoption Agency, Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center, or to the Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center. Whitten Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Timberlake Chapel is serving the family in Lynchburg, VA and Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the in Winston Salem, NC.
