Harry George Lauer, Sr.

Harry George Lauer, Sr., 77, passed away Monday September 23, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Lauer was born July 19, 1936 in New Jersey to the late Gordon and Sarah Emery Lauer. Mr. Lauer was an electrician for Johnson Modern Electric, and was a member of South Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret Southard Lauer on January 28, 2013; a sister Grace L. Schuster. Surviving are his children Donna Lauer (J.R.) Wishon, Michael J. (Donna) Lauer, Harry G. (Candi) Lauer, Jr., Scott E. (Lisa) Lauer; special grandchild Brittany Marie Lauer (Todd Shore); 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; one brother Richard Lauer. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Pm Thursday September 26, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday September 27, 2013 at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church by Dr. Phil Beavers and Rev. Chris Hauser. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
