Hamptonville Mrs. Frankie Lane Newman Foster, 61, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Foster was born November 2, 1951 in Surry County to Frank and Anzie Cheek Newman. She was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church. Frankie's loving and caring spirit was evident to anyone she came in contact with. She had an impact and touched many lives. Mrs. Foster always put other people first. She loved her family dearly. Mrs. Foster enjoyed working at Starmount High School in Food Services. She thought highly of the ladies she worked with and the students she came in contact with. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda Burton and Janet Foster. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Foster; a son, Chad (Amber) Bryant; a stepson, Rocky (Cindy) Foster; three grandchildren, Stella Faith Bryant, Carter Foster, and Samantha Foster; sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Cheek and Linda (Bob) Swaim; and one niece and several nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, September 27, 2013 at 11:00AM at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Bishop and Rev. Nat Thompson officiating. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Jonesville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Swan Creek Baptist Church Transportation Fund, 2501 Swan Creek Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642 or to Cancer Services 3175 Maplewood Ave. Winston Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to thank Dr. Eugene Paschold and his staff and the nursing staff of Forsyth Medical Center 9th floor for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Foster during her illness.
