Allen Leon Davis

Allen L. Davis, 81, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013. He was born September 4, 1932 in Surry County, N.C. to the late Charlie and Thelma Davis. Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army 32nd Signal Corp in Germany. In 1956, he married Virginia Sherrill Brown who survives. Other survivors are two sisters, Shirley D. Mooney and Peggy D. Littell; two brothers Charles R. (Brenda) Davis and Frank (Laura) Davis and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of North Oak Ridge Baptist Church having served on the cemetery committee. The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 PM Sunday September 29, 2013 at the church. His funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM with Rev. Phillip Link officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full Military Rights by the NC National Guard and the VFW Post 10346. Memorials may be made to North Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
