Ann Hoots Davis

Mrs. Ann Hoots Davis, 81, passed away September 29, 2013. Mrs. Davis was born March 3, 1932 to the late Ota and Glenn Hoots. She was a graduate of Yadkinville High School and Baltimore City Hospitals' Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program. She practiced as an LPN at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, as an industrial nurse for Bassick-Sack Division and retired from Forsyth Medical Center in 1997. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Davis; brothers, Roger and Roy Hoots, and a sister, Peggy Cook. She is survived by a daughter, Monta Oliver and husband, Ricky, of Yadkinville; sons, Mark Davis and wife, Jalene of Knoxville, TN; Steve Davis of Lewisville; sister-in-law, Betty Bennett and Juanita Hoots both of Yadkinville and several very special nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Forbush Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
