Naomi Webster Casstevens

Hays Mrs. Nellie Naomi Webster Casstevens, 92, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Elkin Healthcare. Mrs. Casstevens was born September 5, 1921 in Stokes County to James and Caroline Cothren Webster. She was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church and was retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Casstevens was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Casstevens; a son, Charles W. Billings; and four brothers. She is survived by two sons, Tommy (Sharon) Billings and Steve (Patricia) Billings; a daughter-in-law, Audrey Billings; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one very devoted and loving sister, Marie (Bill) Wilmoth. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 2:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Jon Bowman and Rev. George Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Haven Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to United Hospice of Wilkes, 920 W D St, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 or to Peace Haven Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2200 Booger Swamp Rd Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Elkin Healthcare and United Hospice of Wilkes for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Casstevens during her illness.
