Leish Gernell Fletcher

- Mrs. Leish Gernell Fletcher, 67, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 28, 1946 in Surry County to the late Clarence Beamer "Neil" and Amy Chandler Coe. Mrs. Fletcher was a devoted, loving, wife and homemaker. She retired from Yadkinville Elementary School and was a member of Rockford Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Verlene Moore and her brother, Arnold Coe. Surviving are her beloved husband of 53 years, Bill Fletcher, of the home; her special sister, Arlene "Cricket" Scott, East Bend; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Pine Hill Friends Church Cemetery, with Rev. Gary Mahathey and Rev. Gary Styers, officiating. Mrs. Fletcher will be viewed at the Cemetery from 1:30-2:00 PM on Tuesday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the family.
