Rose Hutson Ball

Jonesville Mrs. Rose Ella Hutson Ball, 69, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Ball was born October 25, 1943 in Yadkin County to Frank and Minnie Wilkins Hutson. She was a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church, where she was very involved in the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Mrs. Ball was a member of the Yadkin Valley Red Hatters and volunteered at Tri C Ministries. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ball was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Hutson and Floyd (Betty) Hutson; and a great granddaughter, Ava Short. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Howard Odell Ball; three children, Tony (Kara) Ball, Rhonda (John) Wrenn, and Marty (Misty) Ball; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Jordan, Ashlyn, Dylan, and Ryan Ball, Amanda Williams, and Connor and Brayden Ball; one great grandson, Preston Graham; two sisters, Treva Cothren and Shirley (Jerry) Murphy; two brothers, Roger (Pat) Hutson and Charles (Linda) Hutson; a sister-in-law, Clarine Hutson; several nieces and nephews; two very special "Chow-Chows", Sally Bear and Buddy Bear; and her other K-9 companions, Fuzzy Bear, Lucy Bear, Charlie Bear, and Hound Dog. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11:00AM at Jonesville First Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Hensley officiating. She will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Jonesville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd Dobson, NC 27017. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Forsyth Cancer Center, Forsyth Medical Center Cardiac ICU, and to her special friends in the Dorcas Sunday School Class for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Ball.
