Martha Howard Durham

Hamptonville Mrs. Martha Howard Durham, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to be with Jesus, Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Durham was born December 28, 1926 in Forsyth County to Worth and Ollie Cox Howard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Durham was preceded in death by a sister, Mary K. Howard and a brother, Elmer Dean Howard. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John Calvin Durham; four children, Rebecca Welborn, Timothy (Kathi) Durham, Nancy (Kevin) Wilson, and Charles Durham; four grandchildren, Todd Wilson, William (Brittany) Welborn, Patrick Welborn, and Douglas (Samantha) Durham; and three great grandchildren, Aaron and Hannah Durham and Matthew Welborn. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 11, 2013 at 3:00PM at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
