Kathryn Meadows Dice

Dice Yadkinville- Mrs. Kathryn Meadows Dice, 72, of Old US 421 Highway East passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born May 12, 1941 in Greene County, NC to the late Seth and Sally Willoughby Meadows. Mrs. Dice was retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System with 49 years of service, and was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Teaching Sorority. She was an active, faithful member of Forbush Baptist Church where she served the church for several years as a Sunday School Teacher, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer, and on various other committees. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Wayne Meadows. Surviving are her devoted husband of 48 years, Dennis Dice, of the home; a sister, Sandra M. Sutton, Kinston; brother, Willis H. Meadows, and wife, Joanne, Greenville, SC; a special aunt, Ann W. Davis; 2 nieces, Jessica S. Leggett, and husband, Michael, Tessa Baron and husband, Jerry; nephew, Ken Meadows, and wife, Angela; and her special caregiver, Jean McClelland. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:30 PM Wednesday at Forbush Baptist Church. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM Wednesday with Rev. Joe Souther and Rev. Ray Davis, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Forbush Baptist Church General Fund. The family would like to express their gratitude to her nieces, nephew, and friends, for all the loving care and support given to Mrs. Dice.
