June Turner Stevenson

Mrs. June Turner Stevenson, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November3, 2013 surrounded by her kids. She was born June 14, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late George Preston and Lizzie Wagoner Turner. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband Conard Neal, 2nd husband Charles Stevenson; three brothers Vernon Turner, Jack turner, and Bill Turner; grandson Troy Neil Speer; a great-great granddaughter Lillian Elizabeth Campbell. Surviving are her children Clarice (Gary) Evans, Margaret (Jerry) Speer, Jane (Wade) Cranfill, Barbara "Bobbie" Turner, Debbie (Steve) Louya, and David (Vickie) Neal, ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister Joy Turner Jarvis, a brother Vaughn Turner. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday November 5, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday November 6, 2013 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Bert Mathis and Stephen Evans. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
