Lester Gaither Miller

Miller Hamptonville - Lester Gaither Miller, 85, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Woltz Hospice Home. He was born March 12, 1928 in Yadkin County to the late Sidney Gaither Miller and Beulah Shore Miller. Lester was a devoted member at Flat Rock Baptist Church. He volunteered for Yadkin Christian Ministries and Meals on Wheels. Lester was a member of the Yadkin Senior Chorus. He was a past president of the West Yadkin Men's Club, the Select Sires Breeders Association and FCX, Inc. Lester was also a member of the Yadkin Dairy Association and the Yadkin Corn Growers Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Nola Turbiville and Ayzelene Collins. Surviving are his wife Geraldine Keith Miller; children, Michael Keith Miller, Jan (Fred) Bayer, Maria (Michael) Keating, Lincoln (Michele) Miller; grandchildren, Cheryl Miller, Rachel Rafalko, Rebekah (Michael) Strupe, Cameron Keating, Ana Keating, Luke Miller; seven great grandchildren; brother, L.F. (Pat) Miller; aunt, Lily Buff; brother-in-law, Oscar Turbiville. His memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Flat Rock Baptist Church by the Rev. Joey Tomlin and the Rev.
