Francis Alexander Hutchens

Hutchens Boonville- Mr. Francis Alexander "Skip" Hutchens, 60, of Nebo Road passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his home. He was born January 20, 1953 in Forsyth County to the late Charlie Frank and Margaret Elizabeth Whitfield Hutchens. Mr. Hutchens was retired with several years of service from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He was a member of Forbush Friends Meeting and had been faithfully attending New Patterson Grove Faith Church, Siloam United Methodist Church, and Union Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Hutchens was a loving husband and father, and loved the time he could spend either playing or coaching softball with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed "playing jokes" with everyone. Surviving are his beloved wife, Sara Hutchens, of the home; 2 daughters, Elizabeth Hutchens Petree and husband, Christopher; Mary Anita Hutchens Cook, and husband, David; his brother, Dan Hutchens, and wife, Sandra; niece and nephew, Sondra and Larry Smith,David and Denise Hutchens, great-nephew, Hunter Hutchens; special uncle and first cousins from Hurdle Mills and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Forbush Friends Meeting by Rev. Jake Penley and Rev. Michael Thames. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a church of the donors' choice in memory of Mr. Hutchens.
