Marie Mosteller Vestal

Vestal Jonesville - Marie Mosteller Vestal, 87, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Woltz Hospice Home. She was born January 18, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late Robert Jones Mosteller and Lela Brown Mosteller. Marie graduated from Boonville High School in 1943 as there Salutatorian. She graduated from Draughn Business School in 1944. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hildon Vestal; six sisters and three brothers. Surviving are her children, Billie (Garland) Ross; Thomas Vestal; Bobby (Tenia) Vestal; grandchildren, Melissa (Malcom) Vaughn; Mark (Charity) Longworth; Gregg (Kerri) Longworth; Amanda (Russell) Karnes; Timmy (Kenzee) Vestal; great grandchildren, Asheley (Trevor) Berkshire; Timmy Vaughn; Kyle Hall and Ethan Hall; Jake Karnes and Kaylee Karnes; great great grandchildren, Trevor Berkshire II and Benjamin Berkshire; sister-in-laws, Ollie Mae Benton and Pauline Mosteller. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Shady Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Paul Stewart. Burial will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville.
