Yadkinville Mrs. Sally Iverlue "Ivey" Renegar Davis, 76 went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, December 9, 2013 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Davis was born February 1, 1937 in Yadkin County to Burrett Renegar and Linda Myers Renegar Godbey. She was a member of Gospel Chapel Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, George Wade Davis; a brother, Franklin Renegar; and a sister, Dorothy Seimers. She is survived by a son, Gary (Darlene) Myers; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Luther William Renegar, Radford (Wanda) Renegar, and Alvin (Linda) Renegar; five sisters, Ethel (Joe) Turner, Nellie (Gene) Speer, Fannie (Kenneth) Doss, Brenda (Jason) Oxidine, and Barbara (John) Murry; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 3:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Ronnie Harris and Bill Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Gospel Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home, especially nurse Karen and caregiver Penny, for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Davis and her family.
