Linda Davis McBride

Boonville Ms. Linda Lou Davis McBride, 73, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ms. McBride was born September 14, 1940 in Yadkin County to James Curtis and Gertrude Driver Davis. She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church while her health permitted. Ms. McBride loved the Atlanta Braves, but loved her grandchildren even more. In addition to her parents, Ms. McBride was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Brown; and a brother, Shelby Gene Davis. She is survived by four sons, Greg McBride, Jeff McBride, Terry McBride, and Ronnie McBride and wife Tammy; four grandchildren, Jeremy McBride, Whitney McBride, Justin Cain, and Brooke McBride; one great grandchild, Peyton Cain; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Miller and husband Charlie and Kay Frances Wilkins; one brother, Dean Davis and wife Amy; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 11:00AM at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Stewart officiating. Ms. McBride will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Kay Wilkins, Lib and Henry Miller, Ted and Inez Tilley, Greg and Timmy Zack, Dr. Greenwood and Associates, Yadkin Nursing Center, and Forsyth CICU for all the love, care, and support shown to Ms. McBride. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
