Gay Hobson Macemore

Boonville Mrs. Gay Frances Hobson Macemore, 80, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. Mrs. Macemore was born February 10, 1933 in Yadkin County to Grover and Ila Martin Hobson. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Macemore was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Macemore; and three sisters, Lexie Johnson, Josephine Hutchens, and Emogene Frazier. She is survived by four sons, Brent (Phyllis) Macemore, Ronnie (Connie) Macemore, John (Hazel) Macemore, and Mark (Cathy) Macemore; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three special nieces, Arlene Frazier Johnson, Jeanine Frazier, and Melissa Frazier Hall; two sisters, Beatrice Davis and Lena (Gene) Allen; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 3:00PM at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Gooden officiating. Burial will follow at Swaims Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church, 2401 Nebo Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at WFUBMC, Yadkin Home Health, Yadkin Nursing Center, and Yadkin EMS for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Macemore.
