Henry Bascom Shore

Shore Yadkinville- Mr. Henry Bascom Shore, 72, passed away on December 14, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. He was born January 17, 1941 in Louisville, KY to the late Henry Bascom Shore and Blanche Rigsby Shore. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Linda Reich Shore, of the home; his son, Michael Boyd Shore of Yadkinville; his daughter Jennifer Reich Shore of Charlotte; and his sister, Patricia Shore Clark of Winston-Salem. Mr. Shore was a graduate of East Bend High School, N.C. State School of Engineering, and Wake Forest University School of Law. He began his professional career in Charlotte as in-house counsel for NCNB. He then established private practice in Yadkinville where he spent more than 30 years. His affiliated organizations were the N.C. State Bar Association, Yadkin County Bar Association, Yadkinville Sertoma Club, and Yadkin Masonic Lodge #162 A.F. and A.M. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, playing bridge, and working on the family farm. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Matthew Allen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
