Michael Lee Martin

Martin Jonesville - Michael Lee Martin, 59, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Willowbrook Nursing Care Center in Yadkinville after a long Illness. He was born January 1, 1954 in Surry County to the late J Lee and Rita Brooks Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Nancy Jane Brooks, Sam and Etta Martin; uncle, Allen Brooks; aunt, Lois Needham. Surviving are his aunt, Frankie Brooks; uncle, Craig Brooks; several cousins; special caregiver, his cousin Randy Brooks. Michael was employed by R.J. Reynolds until his illness in 1991. He was a graduate of Starmount High School and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. His graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at West Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. Steve Fowler with music by Abigail Pardue.
