Sonny Alton Davis

- Sonny Alton Davis, 61, passed away Friday December 20, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Davis was born November 29, 1952 to the late Rex Leland Davis and Frances Lashmit Davis Allen. He was a member of Huntsville Baptist Church and was owner of Davis Motor Company. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his pride and joy, his grandson Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Norman "Buddy" Allen. Surviving are his wife Deborah Williard Davis; a daughter Sunni Lynn (Jeff) Collins; a son Matthew (Carlene) King; a grandson Davis Charles Collins; two brothers Rocky Davis and Terry Davis. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday December 21, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday December 22, 2013 at Huntsville Baptist Church by Rev. Chris Vogts. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made Huntsville Baptist Church Building Fund 4901 Courtney Huntsville Road Yadkinville, NC 27055.
