Elsie Ruth Draughan Hurt

Elsie Ruth Draughan Hurt, 93, passed away Sunday December 22, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Hurt was born July 6, 1920 to the late Hugh Gene and Bertie Southard Draughan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband E. K. Hurt, Jr.; two sisters and one brother. Surviving are her daughter Brenda (Bob) Dill, grandchildren Teresa Parks, John (Faith) Dill, Jason (Amber) Dill; great-grandchildren Christopher Parks, Ashley (Charlie) Ross, Caroline Dill, Gavin Dill, and Sophia Dill; great-great grandchildren Joshua Parks and Keely Parks. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday December 26, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 Pm Friday December 27, 2013 at Turners Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Scott Welch and Albert "Buck" Nance. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
