Peter John Fisher

Fisher Yadkinville- Mr. Peter John Fisher, 68, of Shacktown Road passed away Friday December 27, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born August 31, 1945 in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Joseph A. Fisher, Sr, and Leona Poulson. Mr. Fisher was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1963 to 1967 on the USS Nitro. He was a past member of the American Legion Post 177 in Old Bridge, NC holding many offices and participating in the Honor Guard. He was currently a member of the American Legion Post in Florida. Surviving are his wife, Jean McPherson Fisher of the home; brothers, Joseph A. Fisher, Jr. of La., James Sullivan of NJ, Patrick Sullivan of La.; sisters, Terry Applegate, Karen Remoga both of NJ; step-brothers, George Coury, Philip Coury both of Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the family.
