Ronnie Dale Roberts

Ronnie Dale Roberts, 62, passed away Friday January 3, 2014 at Woltz Hospice Home. He was born May 21, 1951 in Surry County to Kenneth Roberts and Mary Roberts McNeil. Aside from the love he had for his family and grandchildren he loved the House of God, the people of God, and especially his pastor friends, and coworkers. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Roberts, an infant brother Johnny Roberts. Surviving are his wife Rachel Lawson Roberts, his mother Mary Roberts McNeil, his children Johnny (Donette) Roberts, Jenny Bates; grandchildren Sarah Roberts, Lawson Bates, Layla Bates, Ella Bates; brother Donnie (Lynn) Roberts; nieces Emily (Matthew) Holcomb, Ashley Roberts; great niece Ava Holcomb . The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday January 5, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday January 6, 2014 at Marler Road Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Johnson, Rev. Gary Blalock, and Rev. Bob Edwards. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
