Louise Warden Blevins

Blevins Yadkinville- Mrs. Adris Louise Warden Blevins, 73, of Old US Highway 421 West passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. She was born June 7, 1940 in Surry County to the late Dolphus Iris and Sula Mae Eldridge Warden. Mrs. Blevins was retired with 17 years of service with Unifi, Inc. She was a tobacco farmer for several years with her husband and family, and was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and caretaker to her family. She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Gospel Way Baptist church earlier in her years when her health permitted. Mrs. Blevins loved to go shopping, attending yard sales, and eating at the Yadkin Plaza Family Restaurant. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Clayton Blevins, by her sisters, Annie Mae Draughn, Stella "Joan" Bottoms, Wanda Jane Warden; brothers, Jerry Williams "Buck" Warden, Roy Hasel Warden, Elvert Floyd Warden, Arvil Eugene Warden, Jimmy Iris Warden, Thomas Allen Warden, Grady Lee Warden, Roger Keith Warden; and special friend, Furman "Tootsie" Melton. Surviving are her daughter, Gale Blevins Stokes, and husband, Dean Adams; son, Tony Ralph Blevins, and wife, Michelle; Grandchildren, Sabrina Gale Stokes, Maggie Marie Stokes (Lee) Hayes, Meagan Louise (David) Lilly, Kelly (Jace) Toler, Klayton Blevins; great-grandchildren, Abigale Serenity Pinnix, Levi Taylen Toler; sisters, Vickie Sue Bottoms, Patsy Jane Newman, Beulah Florence Whitaker, Elvie Victoria (Elb) Cromer; and special friends, Carl & Evon Barnes, Alice Pickett, and Mary Church. Furman "Tootsie" Melton. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 4:00 PM Wednesday at the Gentry Family Chapel by rev. Robert Wiles. Burial will follow in the Gospel Way Baptist Church Cemetery.
