Harold Wilbert White

Harold Wilbert White, 92, passed away Saturday January 18, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. White was born December 11, 1921 to the late Harmon Clifton and Mary Jettie Martin White. Mr. White was a member of Courtney Baptist Church and a retired mail carrier. Mr. White served in the US Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Willie Vance Shermer White, a grandson Anthony White, two sisters and two brothers. Surviving are two sons Billy (Joann) White, Edward (Ann) White; grandchildren Lisa (Randy) Royall, Shannon (Angela) White, and Adam White; great grandchildren Kyndal White, Kelsey White, Amanda Royall, Cody Royall, Buddy White, Brittany White, Jacob White, and Luke White; a brother Kenneth (Beverly) White. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday January 21, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 22, 2014 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Richard Cupps and Rev. Jimmy Martin. Burial will follow in the Courtney Baptist Church cemetery with Military Rights by VFW Post 10346.
