Linda Swaim Wall

Hamptonville Mrs. Linda Lee Swaim Wall, 76, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014. Mrs. Wall was born June 17, 1937 to Paul and Minnie Brooks Swaim. She attended Bessie Chapel Church and enjoyed spending time with her great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her first husband, John William Johnson; and a brother, James Ray Swaim. She is survived by her second husband, Dary William Wall; three brothers, Clyde Swaim, Larry (Willa) Swaim, and Steve Swaim; four nieces, Candace (Chris) Chambers, Melissa Swaim, Megan (Daniel) Key, and Stephanie (Dennis) Britt; one nephew, James Ray (Deborah) Swaim; eight great nieces and nephews, Michael, Wesley, Erika, Jamie, Dillon, Chase, Austin, and Tyler; and two great-great nieces and nephews, Morgan and Spencer. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2:00pm at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Ralph Grose officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Davis Hospital, 3rd floor and the staff of Gordon Hospice House for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Wall during this difficult time. The family will be meeting at the home of Candace and Chris.
