Rex Eldridge Judd

Yadkinville Mr. Rex Eldridge Judd, 76, went home to be with his Father after a battle with cancer and a short stay at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mr. Judd was born October 1, 1937 in Surry County to Roy and Irene Eldridge Judd. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and the US Air Force and a member of Mtn. View Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Judd was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Harris Judd; and a brother, Benny "Bud" Judd. He is survived by a brother, Roy "Sonny" Judd and wife Doris; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 11:00AM at Mtn. View Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. View Baptist Church, 1232 Mountain View Church Road, Hamptonville, NC 27020. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center and to John and Judy Simmons for all the love, care, and support shown to Rex during this difficult journey.
