Lawrence Brooks

Brooks Hamptonville - Lawrence Brooks, 82, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Woltz Hospice Home. He was born November 8, 1931 in Yadkin County to the late Harvey Fredrick Brooks and Ina Bell Shore Brooks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Brooks Arnaud; brothers, Paul Brooks, Brant Brooks, Bobby Brooks. Surviving are his sister, Freda Casey; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. His funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Mt View Baptist Church by the Rev. Aaron Misenheimer. Burial will follow at Asbury United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Mt View Baptist Church.
