Yadkinville Mrs. Grace Venora Williams Snow, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 3, 2014. Mrs. Snow was born May 7, 1934 in Yadkin County to Gurney and Rosa Davis Williams. She loved gardening and spending time with her friends and family. Mrs. Snow loved the Lord and set a good example for her children. She was a very loving and giving person. Mrs. Snow was a member of Mt. Carmel Friends Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snow was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Kenneth Snow; and ten siblings. God blessed her with three daughters, Rebecca Lyons and husband Barry, Karen Chapman and husband Joe, and Angela Hicks and fiancé Charles Brown; one granddaughter, which was the light of her life, Melissa Lyons; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Joe Souther and Brother Lawrence Warden officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Friends cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Friends Church cemetery fund, 3417 Mount Carmel Church Rd, East Bend, NC 27018. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Vienna Village Assisted Living and Hospice of Forsyth County for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Snow and her family.
