Evelyn Wall Cranfill

Yadkinville Mrs. Evelyn Hester Wall Cranfill, 86, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Cranfill was born February 20, 1928 in Surry County to Joseph and Eunice Danley Wall. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cranfill was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Calvin Cranfill, Jr.; four sisters; and three brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Chris) Thompson and Pamela (Don) Carter; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Jimmy) Ransom, Jamie (Katharine) Cranfill, Nick Cranfill, and Andrew Thompson; four great grandchildren, Colby & Wake Ransom and Luke & Alyssa Cranfill; one sister, Lucy Key; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 11:00AM at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Miles and Rev. Grady Trivette officiating. Mrs. Cranfill will lie in state from 10:30 to 11:00AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Monday evening at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B.
