Dobson Mr. Kenneth Ray Wooten, 57, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at his home. Mr. Wooten was born November 13, 1956 in Norfolk, VA to James and Sylvia Hamilton Wooten. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Wooten; and a brother, Larry Wooten. He is survived by his loving wife, Penny Wood Wooten; five children, Adam (Melinda) Wooten, Amity (Richie) Mauldin, Anthony Wooten (Amber), Aleana (Brandon) Gallihugh, and Derek (Sandy) Mauldin; eleven grandchildren, Kristopher, Michael, Faye, Natalie, Nathan, Larry, Emily, Brandon, Dixie, Kaitlyn, and Dusty; one sister, Kitty Wooten; two brothers, James (Barbara) Wooten and Gene (Teresa) Wooten; and very good friends, Junior Stokes and Mark & Gina Black. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 2:00PM at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Kennedy, Rev. Larry Stone, and Rev. Marty Reece officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 319 W Mount Herman Church Rd, Dobson, NC 27017. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Wooten family.
