Bertha Vestal Issacs

Boonville Mrs. Bertha Vestal Issacs, 77, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Elkin Healthcare. Mrs. Issacs was born June 8, 1936 in Yadkin County to Travis and Ida Hobson Vestal. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Issacs was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Issacs; a sister, Jean Matthews; and a nephew, Todd Billings. She is survived by one sister, Kate (David) Billings of Jonesville; one brother, Frank (Judy) Vestal of Kernersville; and two nieces, Tonya McNeill and Jennifer Chapman. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00AM at Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Eddy Driver officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charity Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1500 Charity Church Rd, Boonville, NC 27011. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Elkin Healthcare and Dr. Evan Ballard for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Issacs during her illness.
