Roger Lee Myers

Roger Lee Myers, 63, passed away Friday March 14, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Myers was born May 31, 1950 in Surry County to the late John Henry Myers and Fern Marie Rash Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ruby Jean Myers. Surviving are his wife Victoria Pinske Myers; a son Jason Lee (Jana) Myers; a daughter Amy Myers Smith (John Nelson); grandchildren Victoria Nelson, Jamisun Nelson, Wisdom Dye, and Ashley Willard; step-grandchildren Bodie Chatham, Abigal Chatham; three sisters Kathy (Dennis) DeBusk, Teresa (Melvin) Day, Diane (Derick) Reep; a brother Harold Lee (Sue) Myers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday March 16, 2014 at Gentry family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday March 17, 2014 at St. Paul United Methodist Church by Claudia Harrelson. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the care given to Mr. Myers.
