Carolyn Talley Steelman

Yadkinville Mrs. Carolyn Sarah Talley Steelman, 62, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. Mrs. Steelman was born June 11, 1951 in Iredell County to the Willie and Elizabeth Prevette Talley. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Steelman was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Gaye Talley. Mrs. Steelman is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, William Paul Steelman; two children, Kevin (Jennifer) Steelman and Kelly Steelman; two grandchildren, Katelynn and Lane Steelman; three sisters, Katherine Whitaker, Sharon Talley, and Jane (Chad) Phillips; four brothers, Esker (Kathy) Talley, Kenneth (Peggy) Talley, Daniel Talley, and Randy (Christy) Talley; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 2:00PM at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Miles and Rev. Oliver Helsabeck officiating. Mrs. Steelman will lie in state from 1:30 to 2:00. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Steelman family.
